The pic on top is the first real layer of the painting im working on. it's taken so long because there was an old painting underneath that, that i had to cover up with 3 layers of gesso before it was fully covered and then 2 layers of the nice aqua paint, so that it was nice and solid. The little square beside the big canvas is just a little swatch with the color mixture written on back.
The pic on the bottom is just an example of the style of painting im aiming for.
